What is INTRAcel?
INTRAcel is a skin-tightening and skin-rejuvenating treatment combining two minimally invasive techniques: micro-needling and radio frequency (RF) skin tightening.

This 2-in-1 treatment improves the skin’s texture as well as reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars by stimulating collagen.

Collagen is naturally produced by our body, helping skin to look firm and younger. The older we get, the less collagen the body produces – the result is loss of elasticity and evidence of wrinkles and lines.
The technology combines micro-needling to penetrate the skin for skin plumping and radiofrequency to deliver heat energy deep into two to four layers of the skin for skin tightening, with faster healing and results. Deep skin then responds to the thousands of microscopic energy points that encourage new collagen to grow and for skin to heal naturally. The effect is similar to peeling, but with minimal impact, resulting in thicker, firmer skin rejuvenation.
For acne suffers, the RF energy reduces the production of sebum and bacteria. It promotes the production of elastin and collagen production, minimising the appearance of acne scars.
What can INTRAcel be used for?
INTRAcel is often referred to as the ‘ultimate skin rejuvenator’ because of the many different solutions this 2-in-1 technology provides. It can make skin look smoother and younger by improving tone and texture and reducing sagging, fine lines and wrinkles. It can also diminish large unsightly pores and unwanted stretch marks as well as have dramatic effects on acne, acne scars and scars.
How soon can results be noticed?
After just one treatment, your skin is stimulated to produce more collagen so will start to feel smoother and tighter with visible results showing after two or more INTRAcel sessions.
Treatments are specific to you, with one to three treatments normally being required. Our medical practitioner will advise you and provide a bespoke treatment plan.
Results depends on skin type
Results can vary, depending on the original quality of your skin and degree of damage but should normally continue to improve for up to six months for plumper, glowing skin and smaller pores.
What should I expect?
We always recommend that INTRAcel is undertaken by a medical practitioner trained in the treatment. Dr Azizah Sulaiman, owner of The Cosmedic Clinic, is renowned for her expertise and natural looking results. She will personally carry out the treatment.
Anesthetic numbing cream is applied for about an hour before treatment. Once the ultra-fine needles are delivered into your skin, a radio frequency energy is released.

We recommend following a medically proven skincare regime and an SPF50 sunscreen minimum to avoid sun damage. We will explain everything in detail and make you feel at ease and relaxed on the day of your treatment, knowing you’re in safe, expert and medically qualified hands.
How safe is INTRAcel and is there any downtime?
Intracel is safe and side effects are rare. INTRAcel treatment may not be suitable if you are pregnant, use anticoagulant drugs, have keloid constitution, skin infections, bleeding disorders, pacemaker or skin malignancy.
There is no downtime, so you can resume normal activities right away. It may take 1-3 days for your skin to fully recover.
What is the difference between INTRAcel and lasers?
Unlike lasers that burn the surface of the skin, INTRAcel injects radiofrequency heat energy into the deepest layers of using skin using superfine needles. The result is fresh new collagen for tighter, firmer skin and smaller pores. INTRAcel can also cure acne because it kills spot-causing bacteria and reduces oil gland activity.
